the story behind our first collection drop
ellyse: this one was special. our very first full collection drop. what excited me most about this design and launch was honing in on a unique color that felt enticing, inspiring and trend setting. we know enc is known for our eye catching fonts, layouts and visuals, and the color for this drop needed to be spot on. we started with a forest green and soon transitioned into this deep cerulean blue. the high contrast of cream allowed us to utilized multiple mediums and showcase this overall collection with 4 different layouts and variations.
syd: With every merch drop, we as a team brainstorm to create a concept that has meaning and is also something we'd wanna wear ourselves! We discussed the idea of "what is a visionary?". We call ourselves visual people working in the space we do everyday. But the more we elaborated on the concept, we realized everyone is a visionary in their own way. This design reminds us that no matter which space you are in professionally or personally, you're creating your future + environment!
marly: enc merch is always made with purpose, and love of course. What started as only a sweatshirt, eventually turned into a full, amazingly meaningful collection! I remember starting to develop the sweatshirt design, and as the visuals were really coming together, the sourcing was not. In the midst of finding new options, I dropped a link with what I thought was just another green color for us to pick from. Little did we know, the link had the most perfect, poppy blue that felt so enc. Sometimes the happiest little accidents are the ones that turn out so amazing! From there, the collection really took off and our vision came to LIFE!
lanya: when it came to bringing our ideas to life, we initially were thinking of a design that was mainly type heavy to look more like a vintage sweatshirt, since that was our inspiration for this collection. as we were going through renditions we felt that we were missing something, i started thinking about what elements represents vision and thought duh! an eye! i started drawing out different eye styles and as i was doodling away i was inspired to create these little doods! i wanted to make a unique character that was representative of all the visionaries out there, and once they were created the missing piece to our collection was found!
